Hi Mellisa,

I am having trouble with my two dogs (lab mix) they have been together since birth. They have always been prey aggressive but are becoming more and more dog aggressive. I can tell my female is the dominate one and I know I need to define my place as pack leader. Any advice would be great.

Thanks for your question. That is a very common issue. First, dogs age and their behavior matches that-puppies are energetic and goofy and adults are more serious. Next, your dogs can feel you are telling them to attack or defend based on how you handle the entire situation from what you say or don't say, how you hold the leash and how much respect they have for your guidance. My book is now available and it discusses many of these issues. Understanding your role in this is extremely helpful and definitely work on your handling ability is key. I will be having periodic on line classes so stay tuned. You can contact me for further assistance and a private on line lesson as well.

Hi Melissa,
Here is a page of your student, Lilly Carter, doing her favourite thing, running on the beach with our grandkids and her doggie friends.

And the website above is a quick slide show I made of more Lilly and stuff.
